I am currently in my 3rd year at University of Wales Trinity St David. My interest has always been interiors since I first discovered my passion towards it as much as I admire fashion aspects to design, for me personally it's not something for me. However, for a job role I would work my way around that. Usually my designs never have a specific flow throughout them all, I really enjoy working on something different all the time as I am someone that can get bored working on the same thing constantly. I prefer working on different things where I am able to learn new things and develop my design skills further. Through working on different projects I have come to find that I learn more about myself as a designer. My styles come from my surroundings like nature, this is a huge part of what I like to draw, flowers which is something I feel I am quite strong at drawing. I also get a lot of my inspiration from the places that I am in and the places that I visit, through all this I am able to think more about design seeing how things work and how things would go together in a design aspect.

As I am learning more about myself as a designer, I feel as if applying for an internships in different companies I would develop my skill set further by learning how things work within the industry. Any opportunity that comes my ay will give me all the experience I need to go on to work in industry as a designer.

 

I have worked on some live briefs in uni, just currently I worked on a brief given to the surface pattern and texiles course by Mini Moderns where i had a create a collection based on a theme given to us by them, and at the end of the project we had to present our final outcomes to them. I have also worked on a live brief also given to the course by Rolls-Royce, where we had to create a collection within the cars interiors for the curtains, picnic table and gallery, this was also presented to them at the end of the project. Having both of these experiences was an amazing opportunity to be given, this is where I was able to communicate my ideas to people within the industry and hearing their feedback about my work.
